Wherehouse communicates with your Shopify store through a custom Shopify App.

1️⃣ Steps on Wherehouse 👨‍💻

1️⃣  On the Wherehouse dashboard, within the subscription you’d like to authorize, select Platforms from the sidebar.

2️⃣  Look for the Shopify connector(s).
3️⃣  Click Authorize, this will take you to a modal asking for your site’s
  • My Shopify URL
  • API Key
  • API Secret Key
  • Admin API Acess Token

2️⃣ Setting up the Custom Shopify App

1️⃣  To find the required info, head to your website’s Shopify Dashboard.
2️⃣  Click on Apps in the sidebar, bottom left.

Shopify uses Custom Apps to add features and functionality to a client's Shopify store. In this case you need to create a custom app to enable secure communication between Wherehouse and your Shopify store.

3️⃣  When the pop-up appears
click on App and sales channel settings.

4️⃣  Click on Develop apps for your store.

5️⃣  Click Allow custom app development.

 6️⃣ Click Allow custom app development (again).

 7️⃣ Click Create an app.
 

3️⃣ Creating the Custom Shopify App

1️⃣ Enter the App name:

For the app name you can use any identifiable name, for obvious reasons, we recommend using "Wherehouse”.
 
2️⃣ Enter App developer email:
👉
For the app developer email you can use any site administrator email.
3️⃣ Click Create app.

4️⃣ Configure & Install

1️⃣ Click Configure Admin API scopes.
 
 
 
 
2️⃣ On this page you need to select which permissions to allow, Wherehouse requires the following:
- write_merchant_managed_fulfillment_orders
- write_customers
- read_customers
- write_draft_orders
- read_draft_orders
- write_inventory
- read_inventory
- write_locations
- read_locations
- write_order_edits
- read_order_edits
- write_orders
- read_orders
- write_product_feeds
- read_product_feeds
- write_product_listings
- read_product_listings
- write_products
- read_products
- write_returns
- read_returns
- write_shipping
- read_shipping

You can use the filter to search for each of the permissions mentioned above.

3️⃣ Hit Save!

5️⃣  Finding the API Keys

1️⃣ On this page you’ll find the Admin API Access Token

If you scroll down on the same page you will find the API key and API secret key
 
 
 
 
 
 
2️⃣ Paste API keys found on Shopify into the modal on Wherehouse

3️⃣ Copy your My Shopify URL

4️⃣ Paste the URL into the required field on the Wherehouse dashboard.

Note there is no trailing slash

Note there is no https:// (or http://) in the URL.
5️⃣ Hit Save!
