Wherehouse communicates with Takealot through their marketplace API. Each Takealot merchant has their own unique access token called an API Key. Below we guide you through authorising Wherehouse to connect with your Takealot store.

Steps on Wherehouse 👨‍💻

1️⃣  On the Wherehouse dashboard, within the subscription you’d like to authorise, select Platforms from the sidebar.

2️⃣  Look for the Takealot connector(s).

Each account may have multiple depending on the specific requirement, repeat the steps for each.
3️⃣  Click Authorise, this will take you to a modal asking for a Takealot API Key , more on how to locate that below.
 

Finding your Key on Takealot 🕵️‍♂️

1️⃣  To find the required info, head to your Takealot Seller Portal and click on API Integrations located in the sidebar.
2️⃣  Navigate to Seller API.

3️⃣  Lower down on the Seller API page, you should see the Authentication section with your API Key listed.

If you don’t see a key, hit Generate API key. Should you ever re-generate this key, remember to update it in Wherehouse as each Takealot account only has one valid key.

4️⃣ Copy the API Key to the modal on the Wherehouse dashboard.

5️⃣ Hit save and if all went well you should see “Successfully authorized connector”.
