📦 Bulk Importing Sync Overrides
Sync overrides allow you to customise how your stock and pricing data is synced across different platforms. While you can manage these per SKU on the dashboard, using the Export/Import feature is the most efficient way to handle updates in bulk.
Find out more on Sync Overrides in these docs:
Step 1: Export Your Current Data
Before making changes, you need to download your current configuration.

1️⃣ On the Wherehouse dashboard, navigate to the Catalogues page via either:
- Clicking on the Products button of the relevant catalogue (the button with the 📦 icon)
OR
- Clicking on Catalogues in the left sidebar.

2️⃣ Click the Export Products button in the top-right corner.
3️⃣ Select Sync Overrides from the dropdown menu.
This downloads a CSV file containing your existing setup. Use this file as your template to ensure all SKU identifiers remain accurate.
Step 2: Edit Your CSV
Open the downloaded file in Excel, Google Sheets, or your preferred editor.
- Modify the values in the sync override columns.
- Save the file. Ensure the file is saved as a .CSV after editing as other formats (like .XLSX) will result in an upload error.
Step 3: Import Your Changes
Once your file is ready, head back to the Catalogues page on the Wherehouse dashboard.

1️⃣ Click the Import button (top right).
2️⃣ Select Import Sync Overrides from the dropdown.
If you ever need to clear a price sync override (e.g. when the promotion is over and you want to go back to normal pricing) upload the value “_blank” inside that column

3️⃣ Select Platforms: In the modal that appears, tick the circles next to the platforms you wish to update.
A list of supported columns for each platform will appear. Double-check that your CSV headers match these requirements.
4️⃣ Upload: Drag and drop your CSV into the upload box or click Browse to select it.
5️⃣ Confirm: Click Confirm to start the upload.
Tips for Success
- Case Sensitivity: Ensure SKUs match exactly what is currently in Wherehouse. Do not change the SKUs on the export sheet.
- Platform Specifics: If you are want to add sync overrides for multiple platforms (e.g., Takealot and Amazon), ensure you have filled out the columns relevant to both before uploading.
- File Format: Ensure the file you submit is a .CSV as other formats (like .XLSX) will result in an upload error.
